Main objectives:


To demonstrate that MAR is a safe and sustainable Innovative water management strategy for tackling water scarcity in Southern Europe. Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) reclaims water or excess water from different sources, schemes can greatly increase water availability and therefore improve water security. The targets are the alleviation of the effect of climate change on water resources, the mitigation of droughts, to countermeasure temporal and spatial misfit of water availability, to sustain agricultural water supply and rural socio-economic development, to combat agricultural related pollutants, to sustain future urban and industrial water supply and to limit seawater intrusion in coastal aquifers.

Role of Paragon Europe:


Paragon Europe will be responsible for dissemination at a local level and in particular it will ensure that the activities and the results of the MARSOL project are publicized.

- The tasks that Paragon Europe will lead are:

Dissemination Plan: the organisation will produce a coherent Dissemination Plan to address all the stakeholders, by coordinating the local effort of each partner. This will provide guidance in the following key areas: what, when, to whom and how.
List of target organizations for awareness campaign: Paragon Europe will be responsible to create a database of contacts.
