EU Readiness Package
The SPREAD project commenced in October 2016 and brings together 6 partners from Italy, Austria, Malta, Poland, Portugal, and the UK who will work together over a 24 month period. It is coordinated by ESSENIA UETP from Salerno, Italy and is funded by the Erasmus+ program (Key Action 2). The Maltese partner on this project is Paragon Europe. Paragon staff are participating in all outputs of this project and are also leading the dissemination effort.
The project aims to upgrade the competences and skills of staff on specific and relevant issues related to mobility; develop and reinforce European networks; increase the capacity of VET organisations to operate transnationally; and to promote work-based learning through mobility projects.
All the partners met for the kick-off meeting of this project in Rzeszow, Poland between the 11th and 14th December, 2016. The event was successfully hosted by Danmar Computers and gave the partners the opportunity to meet and discuss the work plan and the way forward.
To date, two of the six joint staff training events aimed at sharing tools, good practices and methodologies relevant to the implementation and management of European mobility projects among organizations operating in the field of VET, planned to be held throughout the project, have been held. One national training entitled Competences of Tutors and Mentors in Mobility Projects was held on Friday 28th April 2017. The next national training is scheduled for 20th July 2017 and will address Intercultural Issues in Transnational Projects.
The first training event was organised by Euroyouth in Lisbon, Portugal in March 2017 and addressed Competences of Tutors and Mentors in Mobility Projects. The second training event addressed Intercultural Issues in Transnational Projects and was hosted by EUROPA Training (UK) in May 2017. The upcoming training events will address ECVET methodology and the validation and recognition of competences; ITC tools for the implementation and management of European projects; Quality in mobility projects; and Dissemination and Exploitation of results and will be held in the partner countries. These events aim at sharing tools, good practices and methodologies relevant to the
implementation and management of European mobility projects among organizations operating in the field of VET.
The partners following these events transpose the knowledge gained through the organisation of training events for their local communities.
A Guide of Good Practices for the implementation of European mobility projects will be produced by the partnership at the end of the project. This will be available on the project website and will guarantee sustainability of the project.
