EU Readiness Package
On the 2nd of July 2017, Paragon Europe as part of the ASKParents project attended the Family Day – social activity organized by NPSPD (National Parents’ Society for Persons with Disability). NPSPD is an organisation which caters for the needs of people with disability and their families, and organises a number of activities throughout the year. It is also a leader in bringing forth disability issues to the public domain and engages in discussion with all parties who have at heart the interests of people with disability.
Parents and children were invited and there were 40 participants. The Family day was organized on a boat cruise around Malta from 9:30am till 17:30pm.
During the day Paragon Europe was providing information for parents, presentation was done about the ASKParents project implementation and the activities have been done so far. Discussions followed about the project and his outputs. Participants shared different experience, new possibilities and how they are connected with other parents from different countries and how this can be improved. Also, there was discussion how to facilitate relations between people with disability, their parents, the authorities and professionals in the sector. Furthermore, during the boat cruise, there were many social activities and games between the participants.
