ASKParents project training

ASKParents project training

On 21th - 27th May 2017, Paragon Europe together with 2 Parents from Malta attended the training of the All Special Kids – Parents’ Project in Braila, Romania.

The main aim of the project is the promotion of psycho-social adjustment and to raise the quality of life of the families with children who are at risk of development or disabled by guiding, counselling and training services through ensuring active participation in the education of their children. We think that children benefit most from their education when parents and professionals work together as partners.

During the training the parents and teachers shared their own experiences with pupils/children with special needs, opinion and impressions exchange about the recovery activities of the children with special needs. There was non-formal education for teachers and parents of the pupils with special needs (practical activities), art therapy workshop and outdoor workshop. Furthermore, there was a discussion about the importance of the social integration for the people with disabilities and many other workshops. Partners presented the application for the mobile phone. According with the agenda there was general discussion and updates regarding the project and the next meeting in Malta.
